Blaze was a normal dog. When Blaze was young he was dropped off at a fire station in the town of Puffington with a note that said, "This little one has a spark. Take care of him."

The PFD saw the irony and potential in the pup's name, took him in and raised him among the ranks of hoses, sirens, and the smells from fires.

He learned the ropes quickly, often outpacing the most seasoned firefighters. His sense of smell could detect smoke from miles away.

One night, Blaze got a whiff of a sensational smell. Someone was blazing up behind the fire station.

Now, after the day shift, Blaze takes time every night to Blaze up with the other neighborhood animals.

Blaze lives by the same motto: it’s okay to be yourself, no matter how unconventional.
